                    your husband's       dead     
grandfather      won     in 1945 angles
toward the tiles           not-you
screaming        not-your fingers       
that slip
aware that  the second       they let go
it's done       
             not-you,  breaking        a bowl
so you know         
what's gone                   in place of
some living thing     in place of yourself
