Warning!
TheCabalists are out to collect, collate and stimulate what they consider to be the very best of Literature on dA. And they claim the ability to discern what is the best because, and I quote: "We are not lame."
Clearly, they only want to rock our boat and must be stopped, before they crack the very foundations of the dA Literature world.
Who are they, and what do they want from us?
TheCabalists are a collective of uber-literary snarks from some back-alley chatroom or other, along with sundry folks they’ve seduced.
Not satisfied with undermining everything lame in the world of Lit, TheCabalists have now taken to assimilating persons who are not boring. Once in their clutches, these people are then forced to write things.
When extracted, the literary juices of their captives are distilled into a series of fascinating and controversial articles which are collected weekly, monthly and in some cases sporadically for inclusion in TheCabalists’ Gallery.
Poetry, music, art, film, grammar, theatre, observational vignettes— a blend of highbrow intellect and cheap bourbon, these raw chunks of titillation-for-the-brain are designed to encourage you to read, think, and pass the bottle.
Not ONE piece of yaoi fanfic to be found, anywhere. Not one! I tell you, it’s just criminal.
Known Victims
Highly selective in their choice of Contributing Writers, TheCabalists have so far duped the following people into entertaining you on a regular basis:
dy-dx, ainslaight, NLY, salshep, Jon-Law, ivannikolayevich, venturus, Lavos12, ndifference, VictorCarbon, jonzoiplu, simeberg, saintartaud, & ordie
Rumour has it, there’ll be more.
They’re also running a suspiciously popular playwrighting competition, which looks about to set the Scripts and Screenplays gallery on fire.
And– as if that isn’t enough— they’re also the evil masterminds behind The 120 days of Sodom that spasm of prosaic decadence known as Flash-Fic-Month, coming up in July.
Oh, my stars! Whatever will they do next?
Who knows. But I assure you, it isn’t going to be lame.
Bastards. I’d watch them, if I were you.

Thank you - and an apology
Thanks so much (belatedly) for all the birthday cheers, dear people-- I was reading, if not posting, and it was lovely reading your messages. :)
And also, I'm so sorry I've been absent -- I know I had plans with some of you, and the whole CommunityLit (https://www.deviantart.com/communitylit) thing, and I hope I haven't let anyone down too badly. Things are better for me now, and I'm back on a more regular basis, so please do poke me if you need anything, or want to continue a project, or just say 'hi'.
I see some of you have been really busy writing/creating. I can't wait to catch up on all of it! <3
If there's something you're really proud of, do leave me a link in co
Happy Holidays!
Dear dA friends and loved ones, I hope you're all having a wonderful holiday. I am revelling in post-Christmas day food bloat and deep relaxation, the weather is lovely, and all is well. May your day be as blessed.
I'm really looking forward to 2019 -- I've a couple of exciting plans and, more importantly, the energy to carry them out.
What are your plans for the coming year?
Winners of Slinkyfest. And what Jon-Law said.
^ awesome.
:bulletred: What Jon-Law (https://www.deviantart.com/jon-law) Said
The godfather of Lit himself popped into CommunityLit yesterday, and said a thing that really helped me get perspective on this place.
I have to paraphrase, sorry, but basically the gist was, "Quit worrying about dA's problems - stfu and write".
Sometimes one just needs to be told these things, you know?
So, more energy will go to awesome projects like CommunityLit (https://www.deviantart.com/communitylit) (where a real sense of community is slowly but surely developing, thanks to a great bunch of chat regulars) and the various things run by other worthwhile Lit groups ---- and ofc, there'll be writing.
And if dA wants to let i

Have you got your slink on yet?
Don't forget to submit your entry to the CommunityLit (https://www.deviantart.com/communitylit) Slinkyfest folder before midnight, Nov 15th. It's a fun poetry form with very few rules, so give it a shot!
